Gypsy Rose has a book and Lifetime series coming out this month
Gypsy Rose Blanchard has become an internet star of sorts since her release from prison following a ten-year stint for second-degree murder.
The 32-year-old has garnered millions of followers since she regained control of her Instagram account and has set up profiles across several social media platforms.
Blanchard’s name hit headlines back in 2016 when she pleaded guilty to her part in a plot to kill her mother, Claudine ‘Dee Dee’ Blanchard, after years of abuse.
Dee Dee was found dead at their home in Missouri in 2015 and Gypsy Rose was sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison for the crime that was committed with the help of her former boyfriend.
Taking to Instagram upon her release, Gypsy told her now 6.3 million followers: “Hey everyone, this is Gypsy. I’m finally free!
“I just want to send a quick video to thank everyone for the massive amount of support that I’ve been getting on social media.
“Everyone has been really, really nice and supportive. I really appreciate that.”
Blanchard has also been promoting her upcoming book and life-time special – both of which are set for release later this month.
Her book, entitled ‘Released: Conversations on the Eve of Freedom,’ is co-written by Melissa Moore and Michele Matrisciani and will be on sale from January 9th.
Her lifetime special, ‘The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard,’ is set to premiere in the US this weekend.
Irish viewers will be able to watch the limited series on HBO Max.
