Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly moved to California

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly made the permanent move to California.

The couple are said to have flown to Los Angeles before the coronavirus-related travel restrictions closed the border between the United States and Canada.

A royal insider told The Sun that the pair are currently in lockdown with their 10-month-old son Archie.

“Harry and Meghan have left Canada now for good. The borders were closing and flights were stopping. They had to get out. But this move was planned for some time. They realised Canada would not work out for various reasons and they want to be based in the Los Angeles area,” the source said.

“They have a big support network there. It’s where their new team of Hollywood agents and PRs and business managers are based. Meghan has lots of friends there and, of course, her mum Doria.”

The news comes after it was confirmed that Meghan has voiced Disney documentary about elephants, which is to be released next week.

The original movie Elephant will land on Disney+ on April 3 and will be her first solo project since her exit as a senior royal.

The news was announced  via the Disneynature Twitter account.

“Disneynature’s Elephant, an Original Movie narrated by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, starts streaming April 3, only on #DisneyPlus”.
