Lucy Watson gave birth to her son earlier this month

The former Made In Chelsea star opted for a unique name for her little boy but we think it could be a contender for one of the best names of 2024.

Lucy confirmed her newborn's name is Willoughby and we're just a little bit in love with the moniker.

Alongside a photo of her baby boy, the mum confirmed his full name: "Willoughby James Watson-Dunmore. Welcome to the world."

Lucy's fans were hugely impressed by the moniker with many saying it's one of the best names they've heard for a baby boy.

"What a beautiful name," one said.

"Ooh you chose such a gorgeous name," another wrote.

One mum added: "My 5-year-old son is called Willoughby James too, so I am biased it’s the best name."

The meaning behind the name Willoughby is so charming so it comes as no surprise to see so many people fawning over it.

According to The Bump, the name is of Old English and Anglo-Saxon origin.

The name itself means 'farm in the willow meadow'.

The graceful name has been growing in popularity in recent years but we're crowing it as one of our favourite baby names of 2024 so far.

There's no doubt we're adding it to our list.
