Actor Sean Malone Has Passed Away, Aged 54

Actor Sean Malone has passed away at the age of 54. The Boston Fire Department confirmed the news on Twitter.

Sean Malone succumbed to his injuries this evening surrounded by his son Sean, parents and siblings at Boston Medical Center

On July 20th Malone was rushed to hospital after nearly drowning while swimming at South Boston Beach. The Boston Globe reported that an off-duty firefighter was alerted when he saw Malone swim out too far. He, with the help of some teenagers on a power boat, managed to get the actor out of the water. Malone was then taken to Boston Medical Center where he remained in a critical condition before dying of his injuries on Wednesday. Malone, who appeared in Gone Baby Gone and The Fighter, was surrounded by his loved ones including his son and parents.
