Her’s Book of the Month is a tension-filled page-turner by Kiley Reid

Kat O'Connor

This month we’re reading a gripping book by Kiley Reid

Is anyone else finding it hard to find a book they adore at the moment? I’ve been in a little reading rut for a couple of weeks but Kiley Reid has come to the rescue with her newest book. The author of Such a Fun Age has returned with another page-turner and you need to read it.

Reid became one of the most loved authors when she released her novel Such a Fun Age in 2019.

It was one of the most loved books of 2019 and it looks like history will repeat itself with her second novel.

Reid has penned a provocative, gripping page-turner that you’ll undoubtedly be glued to this spring.

Her second novel Come and Get It follows a graduate who accepts an unusual opportunity to make more money from a college professor. She sees herself getting involved with some unruly students and her entanglement with the professor makes life even more complicated than she expected it to be.

This is the book every book club should be reading

The thrilling story by the best-seller is one book you need to put on your reading list for 2024.

It’s being hailed as one of the top reads of 2024 so far.

It is an ideal choice for book clubs looking for something hearty to sink their teeth into this year.

The synopsis reads:

‘Millie wants to graduate, get a job and buy a house. She’s slowly saving up from her job on campus, but when a visiting professor offers her an unusual opportunity to make some extra money, she jumps at the chance.

‘Agatha is a writer, recovering from a break-up while researching attitudes towards weddings and money for her new book. She strikes gold when interviewing the girls in Millie’s dorm, but her plans take a turn when she realises that the best material is unfolding behind closed doors.

‘As the two women form an unlikely relationship, they soon become embroiled in a world of roommate theatrics, vengeful pranks, and illicit intrigue. They are forced to question just how much of themselves they are willing to trade to get what they want.’
