Add us as a preferred source on Google »The success of One Day on Netflix has blown the streaming service away, so much so that it is considering another David Nicholls novel.
The Netflix adaptation has quickly become the most talked-about series of the year, as well as the most-watched show around the world.
Netflix is eager to work on another David Nicholls project after the major success, but this book hasn't even been released yet.
The team at Netflix has their eyes on his novel You Are Here, which won't be available until April 23rd.
An insider told The Mirror: "Netflix bosses knew they were onto a winner with One Day but never predicted this level of success. They are already in the process of signing a new deal for David’s next release, which promises to be just as much of a tearjerker."
There's no doubt David Nicholls has penned another bestseller. The author never fails to create strong but likable characters so we cannot wait to meet Marnie and Michael in his new book.
You Are Here follows Marnie and Michael as they face uncertainty in their lives.
The synopsis reads:
'Marnie is stuck. Stuck working alone in her London flat, stuck battling the long afternoons and a life that increasingly feels like it's passing her by.
'Michael is coming undone. Reeling from his wife's departure, increasingly reclusive, taking himself on long, solitary walks across the moors and fells.
'When a persistent mutual friend and some very English weather conspire to bring them together, Marnie and Michael suddenly find themselves alone on the most epic of walks and on the precipice of a new friendship, but can it survive the journey?'
You Are Here sounds like a must-read and we already cannot wait to see the Netflix series. Let's hope it lives up to One Day.
