The Gilmore Girls alum has penned a memoir and we can’t wait to read it
Gilmore Girls is one of the most loved shows in pop culture history.
The series is as popular as ever even though it hasn’t been on air since 2007.
It grew in popularity after it was added to Netflix with fans falling head over heels in love with Lorelai and Rory’s world in Stars Hollow.
However, the original Gilmore girl was always my favourite – the bold, courageous, and powerful, Emily Gilmore.
Emily was the strongest of the Gilmores and never failed to steal the scene every time she was on screen.
Kelly Bishop is set to share all about her role on the show, her Broadway career, and life in the spotlight in her new memoir The Third Gilmore Girl.
Oh, I'm very ready for this. She's had such a varied career, I can't wait to learn more about it. #GilmoreGirls #KellyBishop pic.twitter.com/xOeJTvFZJB

Learn more about the woman behind Emily Gilmore
That’s right, the actress has finally penned a memoir after sixty years in Hollywood and it’s at the very top of my reading list.
Her memoir will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at her stellar career including her roles in A Chorus Line, Dirty Dancing, and Gilmore Girls.
Bishop will also open up about her own life in the must-read memoir. I’m hoping the actress will reflect on her special friendship with co-star Edward Hermann following his untimely passing in 2014.

Published by Simon and Schuster, there’s no doubt The Third Gilmore Girl will be an incredible read.
The synopsis reads: ‘Bishop reflects on her remarkable life and looks towards the future with The Third Gilmore Girl. She shares some of her greatest stories and the life lessons she’s learned on her journey. From her early transition from dance to drama to marrying young to a compulsive gambler to the losses and achievements she experienced—among them marching for women’s rights and losing her second husband to cancer—Bishop offers a rich, genuine celebration of her life.’
Bishop’s “warm and unapologetic” memoir is a must-read for Gilmore Girls fans. We’ll finally get to know more about the woman behind the iconic Emily Gilmore.
The Third Gilmore Girl will be published in September.
