Hair is extremely delicate and it’s most prone to breaking when it’s wet.

In order to avoid a head full of tangles and excess split ends, there’s a simple precaution you can take before washing your hair.

Cynthia Alvarez, a hair care expert with Dove, recommends combing through your hair with a wide-tooth comb pre-shower.

Chatting to Cosmopolitan UK, Alvarez said it’s best to comb from ends to roots as tangles tend to occur at the nape of your neck.
