‘Fluid Hair Painting’ Might Be Complicated But The Results Are Gorgeous

We need to try this.

Another day, another hair trend but we definitely think this one might be the prettiest yet.

‘Fluid hair painting’ is the latest look taking over Instagram and although it takes a bit of work, the results are just gorgeous.

It’s a rather different approach to your standard visit to the hairdresser as you sit back in the chair and your hair is spread across a flat surface.

This allows the stylist to easily hand paint each section of hair, resulting in a gorgeous mix of colour.

Creator K L Christofferson explained the trend to Buzzfeed: “Because the hair is over directed during the application process, it collapses into a fluid colour gradient when styled.

We really like it because you can choose the effect you want with Christofferson saying that “the final results are endless”.

There’s everything from “sun-kissed baby highlights to creating a multi-coloured rainbow explosion” and we are loving this look.

It’s quickly gaining popularity in Europe and has been spotted everywhere from Germany to Sweden but the expert colourist has one important piece of advice, don’t try it at home.

“It looks like it would be easy, but there’s a lot of intention behind each brush stroke. It’s not just laying down and slapping colour on the hair. You should definitely see a licensed professional for this method”.
