Gorgeous, gorgeous nails.
The colour wheel has officially turned, and we have landed in the browns, reds, oranges, and yellows for our fashion and beauty inspiration.
Every season brings a host of new trends, and autumn, in my opinion, is by far the most aesthetic.
As we bid farewell to the Barbiecore and bright nails of summer, we say hello to a list of beautiful new autumnal nail art that has something to suit everyone’s tastes.
Autumn frenchies
French manis are ones that will stand the test of time, no matter what season we are in. It’s adaptable, and that’s why it will never go out of style.
Autumn Frenchies sees the sheer natural base with a darker and more seasonal tip. What’s more, with autumn’s beautiful colour palette, you can choose a seasonal colour that best suits you or choose them all.
Long or short, autumn Frenchies are going to take our claws by storm this year.
Syrup nails
Another trend that is so on-brand for autumn is syrup nails. To achieve the syrup effect, glass or jelly colours are layered over the nail, and for autumn, there’s only one difference: colour.
This trend originated in Korea and is suited to those who prefer a classic nude, understated, or natural tone for their nails.
Amber, golds, and honey tones are expected to be the crowd favourites for this nail trend for autumn 2023, and, my God, they look divine.
Crystals, gems, and rhinestones
Bedazzling our nails saw a huge rise in popularity this year, with ‘long nails with gems’ searches increasing by 1,500% from last year on Pinterest.
Looking to get creative and add an extra summin-summin to your nails? This nail trend is the surest way to do that.
Add a little drama to your life and have your nail tech pop on a few crystals, rhinestones, or gems on your next visit.
Sheer nails
This is a delicate, simple, and soft trend for those who are after that clean girl aesthetic this autumn. Maybe you don’t want the hard decision of choosing a colour, and if that is the case, this barely-there nail trend is for you.
The stripped-back and neutral vibe of these nails is the perfect palette cleanse between trends. They not only look very feminine, but there’s no fear of these naked nails clashing with your clothing.
Greens and Blues
Anyone on the other side of the coin and looking for obvious pops of colour, such as cobalt blue, as well as forest and olive greens, is set to make their autumn debuts. Not often thought of as autumnal colours, these two are anticipated to make their seasonal debut, and they look divine.
So if you’re not quite ready to part with your nail favourites from the summer, cobalt blue can continue to be your autumn nail.
Meanwhile, olive and forest greens are anticipated to be just as popular for nail colours this season. Both greens are equally gorgeous and eye-catching.
However, if you’re looking for a smoother, softer green, olive green is your best bet. But if you’re looking for a more striking and deeper green, forest green is the way to go.
