You wouldn’t say no to it.
One Irish punter is waking up much better off this morning after scooping a hefty sum in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw.
The lucky ticket holder picked up €500,000 in the Ireland-only EuroMillions Plus draw.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning ticket was sold in the North-West of the country though it’s not clear if the winner has come forward yet.
While half a million euro is certainly not to be sniffed at, the punter missed out on a much larger prize.
There was no winner of the €99 million jackpot in the main draw.
The winning numbers in the main draw were 2, 15, 18, 24, 43 and the lucky stars were 8 and 12.
In the EuroMillions Plus, the numbers drawn were 10, 24, 32, 41 and 48.
Meanwhile a work syndicate from a business in Dublin claimed a Euromillions prize of €278,000 this week.
Each member of the group, who have been playing for over a year, has taken home over €25,000 each.
“When I got the email saying we had won a prize I didn’t check it for several hours as I presumed it was a small win,” a spokesperson said.
“I couldn’t speak for 10 minutes when I checked and saw we had won this big amount.”
