Oh dear.
It’s a pretty well known fact that you can’t sneak anything past soap viewers.
From details about characters not adding up to some glaring errors with electronic devices, you can’t get anything by them.
Which is why, really, it was only a matter of time until eagle-eyed Coronation Street fans noticed there wasn’t something quite right.
The episode, which aired at 8.30pm last night, saw Mary join some other Weatherfield residents at the Rover’s Return.
There she is, now. Standing by the bar around the 7 minute, 45 second mark.
And just a few seconds later (okay, maybe like…30 seconds later), she is seen running through the door of the pub to coo over the baby girl.
As far as continuity errors go, it’s not the worst.
But that didn’t stop fans of the long-running soap from pointing it out on social media.
Massive continuity gaff on #corrie tonight lads. Mary at the bar one minute, then shown running through the pub doors as if she’d just arrived, the next. No, YOU get a life.

@CoroStreetBlog Now, I love my #Corrie, and would never criticise. You know that.
But…
Even I can't ignore the glaring continuity error last night. Mary is shown standing at the Rovers bar. Then, in the very next shot(!), we see her coming through the doors! O dear…— John Hughes (@hughesjg) May 5, 2018
#Corrie Mary was already there when she ran in on herself. Bad editing there #Corrie

It comes as former Coronation Street actress Lucy Jo-Hudson has reportedly landed a role on Hollyoaks.
Lucy, who played Katie Harris on Corrie from 2002 to 2005, is said to be returning to screens in the near future with a “decent part” on the popular Channel 4 soap.
A source told The Sun:
“She’s signed on the dotted line and will be appearing soon. It’s a decent part.”
