An unexpected surprise twist.
If you’re an Eastenders fan, chances are you know that it’s been a very dramatic week in Walford.
The Walford in Bloom event ended in disaster with the gas explosion and everyone assumed Jane Beale would be murdered by Steven Beale who’s been following Max Branning’s orders.
However, in a complete turnaround tonight, Steven had a change of heart while there and told Max that they couldn’t leave Jane to die in the fire but Max saw red and lashed out.
Was Steven Jane’s last chance to get out of that fire alive?! ? pic.twitter.com/Hrvl3dsGxW

So blown away by #eastenders tonight. Think maybe Steven dies from the repercussions of that push Max gave him. Please let Johnny live

Max then told Jane that she was responsible for him going to jail as she knew that he didn’t kill Lucy Beale but she let him take the blame.
He then ran outside and told onlookers that he couldn’t find Jane, is this the end for her?
Tomorrow’s episode will prove a dramatic climax to a week of episodes which have been praised by viewers as no one predicted Steven’s compassionate behaviour or Max’s evil final decision…
Oh my gawd….is that the end of twisted steven…. poor ian poor jane #eastenders
