AC/DC Drummer Phil Rudd Charged with Attempting to Arrange Two Murders

Police raided his home in Tauranga on the North Island, New Zealand, on Thursday.

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has reportedly been charged with attempting to arrange two murders and threatening to kill.

The musician was also charged with possession of methamphetamine and cannabis after police raided his home in Tauranga on the North Island, New Zealand, on Thursday.

According to The Guardian, the court reports indicate that Rudd is accused of attempting to hire someone to kill two other people.

The 60-year-old has been released on bail under the conditions that he stays in Tauranga and has no contact with anyone related to the murder plot.

Rudd is due back in court on November 27th.

He is best known for being in AC/DC, the band responsible for songs including Highway to Hell and Back in Black. He joined the rock group in 1975 before leaving eight years later. He then rejoined in 1994.
