“It Was Just Stupidity”: TOWIE Star Breaks Silence on Drugs Scandal

"It's a lesson learned."

TOWIE’s Mario Falcone has finally broken his silence on the drug scandal that saw him get dropped from the reality TV show in August.

The Essex actor was surrounded in controversy earlier this year when a video which appeared to show him snorting white powder was published.

Speaking out about it to The Mirror, Mario said: “In the industry we’re in and at the age I’m at, you do things that are out of character and very immature and it’s part of growing up.

“I wouldn’t say it was a dark place or anything like where I’ve been in the past,” he continued, “It was just stupidity.

“But, it’s a lesson learned. I think in life you get sent these things and you can either let it break you or you can let it make you stronger, and I believe it’s made me stronger.”

The star has joined fellow cast members in Ibiza.

The actor is set to return to TOWIE as it films its 13th series in Ibiza. He described his behaviour as “out of character” and revealed that he was being allowed back on to the show after he had changed his attitude.

“I think actions speak louder than words, and I think they could see that I was in a much better place and I was ready to come back,” he concluded.

The actor spoke out about his attempted suicide earlier this year on This Morning stating that he had “isolated himself” over the past few months. He also made a public apology following the emergence of the video.
