Popular Today FM presenter Ray D’Arcy told listeners yesterday of his lift hell while on holiday in Spain.
The presenter said that his two-year-old son got trapped in a lift for 15 minutes, an ordeal he described as ‘horrific’.
“For those 15 minutes, it was horrific. The lift got stuck. It’s your two-year-old who can’t talk and you can’t communicate with him to press a button. It was traumatic.”
“We didn’t know if there were lights on in it. Jenny is still the worse for wear.”
Ray went on to tell listeners that the terrifying event happened while the couple were unloading the car. With his son trapped inside the lift, and the lift company telling him to wait a further 20 minutes, Ray added that he himself prised the doors of the lift open.
“That was the most emotional reunion.”
