Met Eireann has issued another two status orange weather warnings this morning as Ireland is in for more snow and frost.
The country is waking up to white gardens and icy roads, with the weather forecaster urging people to be careful.
Mix of heavy rain sleet & snow will cause dangerous & possibly disruptive conditions in places. Clearer weather over Ulst with frost will grad extend S in aft. Strong to gale force W’ly winds over Muns. Highs here 5-7C but gen V cold with high of zero to 4C in fresh E to NE wind

Further falls of snow, rain & sleet this morning in Connacht, Leinster & Munster, moving slowing southwards this afternoon & evening. Clearer weather over Ulster with frost will follow. It said that the snow will lead to slippery paths and treacherous roads, however so far, gardaí in the midlands say all national primary routes are passable.
A snow and ice warning remains in place for Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Tipperary.

The warnings will stay in place until 11pm tonight because, as the Independent described it, snow and ‘ice bombs’ fell last night and this morning.
