You might be getting sick of hearing them at this stage but Met Éireann has issued another weather warning.

The national forecaster released a status yellow warning for snow and ice overnight with Connacht and Ulster due to be worst affected.

The warning is in place until 10am tomorrow and it is expected that snow showers in some areas will result in accumulations of up to 3cm.

“Snow flurries elsewhere may result in a lighter dusting of snow. Air temperatures will fall to between 0 and – 4 degrees Celsius, except in Atlantic coastal districts. Widespread frost and ice will occur, resulting in treacherous conditions on untreated roads and footpaths,” said a spokesperson.
