This is up there with the greatest interviews in Irish politics…
Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams revealed a peculiar pastime that includes a trampoline, his dog and no clothes.
Adams joined Newstalk’s Sean Moncrieff in Drogheda’s D Hotel on Friday afternoon where he was asked about his ‘Twitter legend’ status.
Moncrieff selected a few of the Louth TD’s most random tweets, including one that suggest Adams is a fan of trampolining.
I’ve had a busy beautiful morning. Trampolining from dawn. Peeling spuds. Listening 2 Joan Baez. Chopping turnip&carrots. Off 2 Mullingar.

It wasn’t long before the Adams began discussing his passion for the hobby and revealed, “yeah, I do it naked.”
“I don’t do it with any great expertise, just the joy of it – the dog does it with me,” he said laughing.
“It saves me taking him for a walk. We just go out and bounce for a while.
“The dog loves it. In fact, I caught the dog doing it on his own.”
Adams told the radio presenter that he would never be without a dog, after having one since the age of three.
“We trampoline when we get together, to make up for lost time,” the 66-year-old continued.
When questioned over whether the beloved pooch can do any tricks, Adams said: “I don’t want to discuss it publicly – but yes.”
The Internet has responded to the trampolining revelations in the greatest way possible… (Click the picture to play).
