Cork native Jason Cierans is seriously injured after an attack outside an Australian nightclub in the early hours of this morning.
It is believed that Jason, who has been living in Sydney for five years, was knocked to the ground after an alleged argument with a group of people.

The Irish Times reports that the 29-year-old was brought to St.Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney and placed in an induced coma.
Police questioned people who witnessed the incident outside the nightclub at Bondi Junction and have detained two men.
The Department of Foreign Affairs are providing assistance to Jason’s family.
