A wedding day is one of heightened emotions on all fronts already, so you have to admire the groom brave enough to take on the job of singing as his bride-to-be walks up the aisle.
Videographer Thomas Whyte captured this lovely moment, as Gerard surprised Dympna with a rendition of This I Promise You as she made her entrance to St. Macartan’s Cathedral in Monaghan on Saturday last.
You can see a little shake in Gerard’s hand from the very beginning, but by the time Dympna reaches him – it’s tears all round.
