This couple’s post about tipping in restaurants is going viral for all the wrong reasons

It looks like respect for those working in the sector of hospitality services seems to be depleting and depleting.

Christmas is traditionally a time for love, kindness and giving but having a retail background before this job, I can definitely tell you that Christmas is the time of year when the general public are The Absolute Worst. People fight, argue and compete in order to have the best Christmas ever rather than spread peace and make each other feel better - and it seems this ugly spirit is showed perfectly in one couple. This couple are fond of eating out in restaurants but their tipping idea for after the meal is going viral because it is simply so CRUEL. In a Facebook post, the reported husband of the couple tells his Facebook friends that when he and his wife go out, they attempt to motivate their waitress into giving better, faster service by leaving 5 dollar bills on the table under a knife. The husband implied that every time the waitress made a mistake, he took a bill off the table.

"You put 5 singles out on the table at the beginning of dinner for the waiter/waitress to see. (Don't say anything to them) if they mess up, you take a dollar away, and so on."

He said that the waitress kept looking at the money in confusion but ultimately she "played her cards right," thus getting the 'entire' measly tip. The man went on to encourage other people to try this trick, to "get the best service of your life." People took to Twitter to voice their disgust at this couple's attitude towards waiting staff.
