The crowdfunding page is called ‘Tara Flynn needs a holiday’.
Comedian Tara Flynn was one of the main organisers and campaigners who pushed the Yes vote through on repealing the 8th amendment.
She put her heart and soul into the campaign, which saw victory (officially) on Saturday afternoon.
Soon after the result was announced, a GoFundMe page was set up for Tara, to send her on a holiday after all her hard work.

The page was set up by Shawna Scott who asked the people of Ireland to donate €2,500 so the campaigner could go on an all-expenses paid getaway.
There was no description on the page, it just simply said ‘Tara Flynn needs a holiday’.
A massive €7,812 was raised, more than 3 times the amount that was originally asked for.
However, now Tara has spoken out about the GoFundMe page, saying we’re all ‘cracked’.
“I’ve just looked at that gofundme. I am conflicted. So grateful, really touched, but it’s too much. Ye are cracked. I love ye but ye are cracked,” she wrote.

Ultimately, Tara wants the money to go to a good cause because other “people need it more.”
Someone tried to do something nice for me. Thanks for trying. But because other people need it more – and they should – I think, @SexSiopa, I’m not going to be able to accept.

Please give it to @AddressingLife. Let’s make everyone happy and be able to sleep. They need it. Much love and thanks. Honestly. And that’s my last word on the matter.
