Bucket lists: they’re something we all have. You know that long list of things that you’d absolutely love to try but never get around to because you don’t have the money or the energy?

Why not make 2013 the year that you finally get to cross something off that list? Trying something new can add a breath of fresh air to your life. It can help you to figure out the things you like, the things you don’t like and it can shake things up and add some excitement to your life.

This week we’re looking at river rafting!

____________

Is 2013 the year you cross river rafting off your bucket list?

What?

Granted we don’t have the amazing, hang-on-tight white water rapids that America has, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t go river rafting in Ireland. In fact, the rafting scene has started to slowly gain a bit of a following in recent years.

Whether it’s for the thrill, the adventure or to simply take in some Irish scenery from another perspective, river rafting shows you the power of our rivers and just how important they are for us.

Fancy doing battle with some waves and having the craic? Then why not make 2013 the year you go river rafting?

Where?

Rafting.ie is the only river rafting company in Ireland. They’re based in Dublin (Palmerstown to be exact) and they offer guided rafting trips on the River Liffey between Leixlip and Palmerstown.

All of the company’s guides have extensive white water experience and are fully qualified, so you’ll be in good hands.

When?

Rafting.ie is open all year round so you can try your hand at river rafting whenever you want! For more details, it’s probably best to contact them directly and have a chat.

How much?

Prices vary, although you need to have a group of at least four people if you want to get into a raft. The tour itself vary between two to two-and-a-half hours on the water. For more information, get in touch with Rafting.ie
