Yesterday there was a bit of a kerfuffle after an army officer was pictured seemingly having the chats while marching in the Easter 1916 centenary parade.
Well, it looks like this should serve us as a reminder not to jump to conclusions as quickly as we do. The Army confirmed in a statement that the man in question was a press officer who was fielding questions from the media at the time of the phone call.
In the picture that many have said should be going viral instead, we see the Press Officer, John Forde speaking to Sheila O’Leary, a woman whose parents both fought in the events of 1916.
