When you normally think of marriage proposals you think of roses, champagne and a candlelit dinner. But when Brendan proposed he thought of an A4 page, a physics abstract and a graph.
But it seems the tactic worked on his girlfriend Christie of seven years, who is also a physicist, as she ticked the ‘yes’ box at the end of the paper.
As you can see the study which is entitled Two Body Interactions: A Longitudinal Study isn’t really about a scientific experiment, it’s about how they fell in love and also how happy Brendan imagines their life together will be.
So while we don’t personally think it beats a nice ring and a romantic evening, we can see exactly why it’s perfect for this couple.
