Morgan Freeman to Voice Lego Man

The A-list actor is known for his voice as well as his acting skills so it comes as no surprise that he's been snapped up for a new animated film.

Morgan Freeman has what is probably the most distinct voice in Hollywood so it’s no wonder that he’s being picked up for a new movie.

The Shawshank Redemption star won’t however be providing the voiceover for a group of adorable penguins fighting for survival as he did for March of the Penguins. Instead he is lending his famous vocal chords to a Lego man for the animated film, Lego: The Piece of Resistance.

Freeman narrated March of the Penguins starring these cute little guys.

And Freeman won’t be the only star on board to voice the little yellow figures. Elizabeth Banks from Role Models, Channing Tatum from Magic Mike and Chris Pratt from The Five-Year Engagement are also lending their talents to the production due for release in 2014.

The film, written by the men behind 21 Jump Street, will see a Lego mini-figure try to stop an evil Lego tyrant from gluing the universe together.

So it’s not exactly your typical action-comedy film but with those writers and that cast, it’s bound to be something special.
