Don’t mess with our biscuits, especially in Winter.
Truth be told, we were a little bit bricking it for Marks and Spencers yesterday when a “shocking truth” was unveiled about their luxury biscuits.
One unhappy customer named and shamed their Extremely Chocolatey luxury biscuit range when he dipped a biscuit in tea and uncovered the signature custard cream logo.
Bearing in mind a packet of M&S custard creams costs considerably less than a packet of luxury biscuits, Peter Marshall took to social media to foil the supposed deceipt, quickly going viral.
However, a spokesperson from Marks and Spencers has come forward to shed some light on the situation, insisting that there is nothing untoward going on here.
Speaking to Buzzfeed, he said: “Customers can rest assured the biscuits remain our own luxury recipe covered in milk chocolate, they are simply made using the same mould as a custard cream.”
Hmm, are we convinced? Not so sure…
