Despite the same-sex marriage referendum passing in Ireland last year, there are still numerous incidents of homophobia every day.
Unfortunately, it’s not just in Ireland, it’s still happening worldwide on an all too regular basis. It’s a disgrace.
One gay cyclist is being praised for shutting down a homophobic Catholic preacher in Glasgow, Scotland.
The preacher is seen in the clip ranting utter shite, on and on about “the 99% need to stand up to the 1% who are gay” when the brave cyclist passes him.
The cyclist stops his bike and confronts him, saying
“I’m gay, I’m gay, say that to me.”
The preacher responds:
“God still loves you.”
But the cyclist was not to be outdone, closing with the winning remark:
“I love me – I don’t need a God to do it”
The cyclist has been identified as Ryan Vance, and we can’t praise him enough.
