Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour to Dublin next month

A warning has been issued to any Irish Taylor Swift fans attempting to get last-minute tickets before the Eras Tour comes to Dublin this summer.

A woman from Limerick told Limerick Live that she was duped out of €360 attempting to buy a ticket to the concert on Facebook.

The tickets were listed on sale on the social media site and the woman sent the money to the seller through Revolut.

However, the tickets were never sent and the Facebook page was deleted, leaving the seller uncontactable.

Sergeant Ber Leetch, of Henry Street Garda station, told the publication: “There is such a huge demand for Taylor Swift concert tickets and the scammers know this.

“The buyers are too excited and in such a hurry to grab these tickets that they may not check the situation out properly.”

The Fearless singer kicked off the European leg of her tour in Paris last week, ramping up the excitement for her upcoming visit to Ireland.

Thousands of fans queued up outside the city’s La Defense Arena 24 hours before the show just to get their hands on the singer’s merchandise.

A handful of fans were also seen camping out a number of nights before to ensure they get a prime spot in the standing section.

Taylor Swift will perform in the Aviva this June

The 34-year-old will be taking to the stage at the Aviva Stadium on June 28th, 29th, and 30th.

There was a massive rush for tickets when the gig was announced last year, with many Swifties left disappointed due to the general tickets being swiped up in less than 16 minutes.

500,000 people reportedly signed up for the ticket sales, but only 150,000 were available, which includes the pre-sale that took place the week before.

Ticketmaster has officially activated resale for the Aviva Stadium concerts, however ticket transfer will not be made available until much closer to the date of the shows.

Once it goes live, the tickets will be bound to be snapped up very quickly, so anyone looking to scoop some have to be on the ball.

Since starting in March 2023, Taylor Swift has taken The Eras Tour all over North and South America and then on to Asia.

Over $1 billion in tickets were sold before the end of 2023 and sales are on track to more than double that by the time it concludes in Vancouver this December.
