‘Tis the season…
Yesterday, Met Eireann issued a status yellow weather warning for snow and ice across the country.
The thought of snow almost seemed like too good (or too bad, depending on your opinion of the stuff) to be true.
To be honest, we assumed it’d be cold af, there’d be a bit of hail, and maybe some lashings of rain or, in other words, a typical Irish winters day.
What we weren’t expecting, however, was actual snow.
And certainly not the absolute blizzard that occurred on the border of Mayo and Sligo this morning.
Footage of the snow in Bonniconlon was shared by Mid West Radio earlier today and it looked intense.

That’s snow, alright.
Some other people also took to social media to share their own pics of the snow and although they weren’t as intense as what was going on in Bonniconlon, they were still pretty enough.
Here’s the Castlebar Golf Club, which was closed overnight due to the weather.
