The ‘cool girl spread’ is the Instagram pose taking over this year

Say cheese.

No more leaning teapot (thank goodness), no more duck face (that died in 2012) and no more Bambi. Oh no, the new pose taking over this year has been dubbed by Babe as the “cool girl spread”.

Basically, the pose is just sitting down, leaning over and slightly spreading your legs shoulder-width apart.

If you don’t think you know the pose – just wait until we show you below and I’m sure you will have seen it plenty of times.

An easy one to recreate, we are loving this edgy, once “masculine” pose and if our favourite Instagram stars are to be believed, this pose is just about to gain more and more traction.

Long gone are the days of ridiculous attempts to try and “suck in” on the camera flash or bow your legs so they look thinner, hell no. It is all about embracing yourself and your body now more than ever and this pose gets a big YAAAS from us.
