Talk about stealing the thunder.
A person’s wedding is meant to be a special occasion, the biggest day of one’s life in fact, with the bride and groom the centre of attention.
You can imagine this bride’s reaction then when her bridesmaid decided she wanted to share a little of the limelight and wasn’t backwards about coming forwards either.
The below Reddit thread, brought to our attention by Cosmopolitan, features a bridesmaid who had recently got engaged.
All grand so far until you hear what said bridesmaid asked the bride, on her wedding day.
“One of the bridesmaids brought her fiancé to the wedding, and wanted our photographer to do an impromptu engagement photo shoot. Photographer laughed in her face.”
The replies to the thread agreed with the bride and said that you wouldn’t ask the “priest to do a baptism” if he was officiating the wedding and overall, it’s bad form to make such a request a wedding of all places.
If the question came from a wedding guest, it probably wouldn’t be as bad but when it’s from a bridesmaid, you can understand why the bride might be annoyed with one of her closest gals making the day about herself.
What do you think? Is it out of line or is the bride making a big deal about nothing?
The thread in itself is worth a look too as there are some rather outlandish requests included. It’s titled “Married Redditors, what was the most obnoxious request made by one of your wedding guests?” and you can check it out here.
