Galway pub wants to reward kind stranger who returned an employee’s lost wallet from France

This anonymous person is the definition of a sounder!

This kind of thing warms my icy, stone heart.

During the Euros, it’s safe to admit it brings out the excitement in people with the result of all sorts tomfoolery going on.

The Irish fans abroad are doing us seriously proud, what with their singing and kindness towards others.

For those of us not lucky enough to go to France for the football, we have to make do with a warm pint and a stool at the bar of our local pub. Sure who needs a holiday anyway?

Spotted on JOE.ie, a barman from a pub in Galway was supporting the Boys in Green in France when he sadly lost his wallet.

One of the Dáil bar’s most treasured barmen, John O’Connor was at a match supporting the Irish in France when he lost his belongings, but the inspiring news is is that the missing wallet was returned to the Galway pub on Monday.

The wallet was brought all the way back from France to Galway with all cash, cards and remains intact, with the only clue tying John to the bar being a business card for his workplace.

The mysterious good Samaritan left no contact details or asked for any thanks while returning the wallet to the Galway bar, and the curious cats at The Dáil are on the lookout for the kind soul that committed the more than kind deed.

If you or your friends contributed to the random act of generosity, The Dáil bar wants to hear from you so they can properly thank you or offer a reward in exchange for the act.

The Dáil bar is waiting to hear from anyone with information on their Facebook page or in the form of a quick tweet .

In such a frightening world that we live in, it’s charming to think there are still lovely people out there.

Being the nosy bitch I am, I’m just left wondering what the reward would be… Free drinks for life?

Now THAT would be the dream.
