Black Friday is in full swing, as is the hysteria over sales, racks, codes, times and deals.
But not everyone has been taken in by the alluring bargains – in fact a global protest has been launched encouraging people to spend absolutely nothing for 24 hours instead, under the hashtag #BuyNothingDay.
The campaign urges people to “participate by not participating” with pranks like stalking “those who have been infected by Black Friday” dressed as zombies chanting “buy buy buy”.
