Another Friday rolls around and we’re taking a look back over the week that was. Our highlights this week include…
#COYGIG
Mary was on top form this week after the Irish women’s rugby team overcame Wales away 20-0. The girls in green are now heading to Scotland this weekend with the hopes of a championship title on offer and we’ve no doubt that Mary will be extremely hoarse come Monday morning! #COYGIG
Birthday Treats
Rebecca celebrated her 26th birthday this week (yes, she’s well on her way to the big 3-0, as the rest of the team keep reminding her). As well as the most delicious cheesecake in the world, courtesy of Queen of Tarts, she got a lovely Alex and Ani ‘Hummingbird’ bracelet from the work crew. Her jewellery collection just keeps on growing…
Head Over Heels
Continuing her obsession with Michael Kors, Mary fell head over heels (literally – she can’t walk in them) for these nude Michael Kors shoes. Balancing on them all week, she’s hoping she’ll be able to prance up the aisle at her friend’s wedding this weekend without falling flat on her face!
Pizza Time!
We love nothing more than a pizza delivery so you can imagine our delight when a load arrived into the office this week. The new Iceland Pizza range, which won ‘Frozen Pizza Multiple Retailer of the Year’ at the UK Pasta and Pizza Awards, includes a range of toppings and is suitable for all occasions including a girls night in (any excuse).
The Icing on the cake…
We were spoilt for choice when #BakeWithStork decided to surprise us with delicious cupcakes this week! Not only were we fighting over the crumbs, we now want to go home and attempt our own creations…
Don’t worry, we won’t subject you to our samples, but here’s a hint at why we were making rounds of tea yesterday.
Fresh Buzz
There’ll be no excuses this weekend not to be a coffee connoisseur thanks to the lovely team at Aldi. We can’t wait to sample some of the new cuppas on offer – we’ve no doubt we’ll be full of beans. See what we did there? We’re not even sorry…
Step In The Right Direction
This week, Liz celebrated St.Patrick’s Day a night early and instead put her legs to good use on the day itself, taking on the Harbour to Harbour Walk for Aware. Along with three lovely ladies, she chatted, plodded and sang her way from Howth to Dun Laoghaire before driving back over the Liffey for dinner in one of her favourite spots on the Northside harbour.
If you’re ever looking for an alternative Paddy’s Day celebration, she’d highly recommend the walk to beat those hangover blues.
Hangin’ with ASOS
Cathy, obsessed with all things fashion, headed to an ASOS dinner this week to see their High Summer collection. She’s happy to report that there are tons of treats in store for this fashion season…suede jumpsuits, fringed separates and retro accessories to boot.
Nailing it
Despite having a fabulously talented beautician sister, Marie is notoriously bad at keeping her nails in check so she headed down to Tropical Popical on South William Street for a major overhaul from the experts. Half an hour later, she was the delighted owner of a set of pretty pink talons!
Musical madness
We’ve been very busy this week filming some fantastic artists for our Sunday Sessions, with X Factor alum Janet Devlin and Meteor Award nominees Little House dropping into The Workman’s Club to record a few great tracks for us. The Donegal boys recorded a Beyoncé cover that we can’t wait to show you – follow us on Twitter @SundaySessLive or on Instagram to make sure you don’t miss a thing!
