The John Lewis advert has been on, so it’s officially Christmas now.
That means we can put our trees up, roll the mince pies out and start drinking mulled wine and Baileys whenever the fuck we feel like.
But what it also means is that all the big chains are rolling out their Christmas menus.
Yes we know that so many places just sprinkle a bit of cranberry sauce on stuff or flavour everything with ‘festive cinnamon and call it a ‘Christmas menu’, but McDonald’s have gone above on beyond to make theirs as Christmassy as possible.
It’s getting launched next week (November 23rd to be exact), so we don’t have long to wait to get our grubby mitts on it.
Maccies’ Spiced Cookie Latte is already available to get some hot, steaming Christmas in your belly, if you’re into that sort of thing.
But you’re going to have to wait for the rest…but it sounds like it’s going to be well worth it.
It wouldn’t quite be Christmas without a chocolate orange, so McDonald’s are offering their Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry.
You will also be able to get a Chocolatey Banoffee Pie to warm your winter cockles.
If you want a burger before you smash a load of festive pud, then yule love the Festive Cheese Feast.
It’s a beef burger with Beechwood smoked bacon, cheese sauce, grilled onions, ketchup and lettuce.
There’s also going to be a Spicy Chicken Winter Melt which sounds infinitely better than turkey and stuffing.
It’s basically a chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating with an Emmental cheese slice, fire-roasted red pepper sauce, onions, mayo and lettuce.
McDonald’s will be doing Cheese Melt Dippers too – four breaded cheese dippers made with Camembert and a festive tomato dip.
Stick that in your Christmas pipe and smoke it.
