This weekend’s X Factor live shows are currently in jeopardy, after a number of contestants fell ill with the flu bug.

Several media outlets are reporting this morning that the ITV show is “at risk of cancellation” after six of the finalists were hit by a viral flu and put on voice rest.

James Graham and Casey Johnson of boy band Stereo Kicks are among those to have fallen ill, as well as stars Jake Quickenden, Stephanie Nala, Ben Haenow and Lola Saunders.

“Everyone seems to be getting ill. It’s a real worry. There are so many contestants on voice rest, but hopefully that will mean they’re well enough for the show,” a source told The Sun.

X Factor bosses are yet to comment on the claims.
