There’s a TOWIE 10 year reunion with the original cast in the works

Jade Hayden

No one gets better than this candy.

Cast your mind back to 2010.

Everyone’s eyebrows were tiny. Jedward were big news. Flo Rida’s ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ was topping the charts week after week for some reason.

And TOWIE was on.

The Only Way Is Essex leaped onto our television screens back in 2010 and with it came love triangles, drama, and a load of vajazzles.

It also made the entire nation and beyond familiar with the likes of Mark Wright, Amy Childs, Gemma Collins, Lauren Goodger, and James Argent.

The lads became household names, brightening up our bleary weeks until they got too famous, moved on, and threw themselves into their sponsorship deals.

TOWIE continued on but the OG crew were missed. Things just weren’t the same anymore.

Never fear though because it looks like the lads are coming back – for a one off reunion, anyway.

Amy Childs told The Sun that the group have been in talk with producers and that something very special is currently “in the pipeline.”

“I heard there’s going to be a 10 year anniversary. I’m pretty sure there will be,” she said. “The first two series of TOWIE were unbelievable because it really blew up. People loved it. We were ourselves.”

“Now 10 years on, we are all so different. People would love to see us 10 years on. Harry is the head of Nars at Harrods now – he’s an amazing make-up artist. He’s doing so well.

“I did the vajazzle, created ‘well jel,’ since then I’ve had two children and all of my fans have now got babies. My work now is baby brands and I love it.”

Amy quit the ITV show in 2011 as Gemma Collins and Joey Essex were introduced.

Wright left later that year, followed by Goodger a few series later.

The majority of the original cast have gone on to appear in other reality TV shows including Celebrity Big Brother, I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, and Strictly Come Dancing.
