The first look at Patrick J. Adams’ return to Suits is officially here

Mike Ross and Harvey Specter are back together at last.

The first look at Patrick J. Adams’ return to Suits is here – featuring Mike and Harvey’s long-awaited reunion.

And while the reunion is definitely classic Mike-Harvey, things won’t be staying lighthearted for long as they soon find themselves on opposite sides of the courtroom.

Suits creator Aaron Korsch told TVLine:

“Mike comes back and sort of picks a fight with Harvey and is coming after him to sue that longtime client and he wants to do it in a fun way.

“He doesn’t want to get embroiled into a big fight with Harvey, but he wants to go toe-to-toe with his old mentor. So he sort of slaps that client with a lawsuit, and he delivers it to Harvey.”

Of course, he doesn’t realise that Harvey’s given that client to Samantha – which causes even more issues.

Korsch continued:

“In true Harvey fashion, Harvey doesn’t tell Samantha, because Harvey doesn’t want to give it to Samantha.

“He wants to take on Mike, but Samantha finds out about it, so it ends up becoming a little bit of an embroiling with Samantha and Harvey against Mike.”

Suits first launched in 2011, with hotshot lawyer Harvey Specter taking a gamble and hiring Mike Ross – an incredibly smart but not totally legitimate college dropout – as an associate at his firm.

Mike ended up quickly impressing the rest of his colleagues – including Jessica Pearson, Louis Litt, and Donna Paulsen – and fell in love with the law firm’s best paralegal, Rachel Zane.

And while a lot has changed over the years, the show still centres around an evolved firm led by Harvey, Louis, secretary-turned-COO Donna.

The firm continues to tackle top corporate cases with the support of the formidable Alex Williams, undeniably talented Katrina Bennett, and new addition to the team, powerhouse attorney Samantha Wheeler.

Together, these top minds rely on their knowledge, wit and intuition to keep their clients at bay and the firm afloat.

The end of the legal drama will come two years after original stars Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle exited the show.
