“What if I made you an offer too extraordinary to refuse?”
That’s the main question Netflix’s newest anthology series, What/If, is asking.
The neo-noir social thriller explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things.
The first season focuses on a mysterious woman, played by Renée Zellweger, who makes a lucrative – but sketchy – offer to a cash-strapped pair of San Francisco newlyweds.
“What if I made you an offer too extraordinary to refuse — for anything and anyone to be yours for for the taking?” The Oscar-winning actress says in the first look for the series, as she makes her way through a party.
She continues:
“The players are all arranged. What would you risk for a chance to have it all?”
All 10 episodes of What/If will become available to Netflix members worldwide on May 24, 2019.
Jane Levy, Blake Jenner, Samantha Ware, Keith Powers, Daniella Pineda, Juan Castano, John Clarence Stewart and Dave Annable star alongside Renée Zellweger.
