Someone is selling a plastic McDonald’s straw on eBay for €1,000 and just lol

Ah here.

As we try to reduce our carbon footprint and globally ditch plastic straws for paper, it looks like some people are hoping to make a quick buck from the change by flogging plastic McDonald's staws for over €1,000. Now, we all know that a lot of people aren't happy with paper straws but trying to get €1,000 for one that's being dubbed as "SUPER RARE" is honestly just a lol and we're scared if these are actually snapped up but then again, would you be surprised? The product description for the straw which is obviously soon to be an antique reads as follows:

"Brilliant uncirculated brand new McDonald's straw this is soon to become the stuff of legend, imagine your about 50 years older than you are now, telling your grandchildren how you got given plastic straws from McDonald's and they will look up to you like god!"

Christ. The plastic straw seller is also hoping for people to sign his petition to bring back plastic straws which he links at the bottom of his listing. However, this is obviously not something we back as McDonald's made a seriously conscious decision to ditch the plastic last year when it was revealed that they were using 1.8 million plastic straws in the UK alone. And look, if you're like plastic straw seller 101 above and you hate paper straws that much, there's always metal or simply, just don't use one but bringing them back is not a vibe.
