It looks like Charlie Slater will be making a return to Eastenders in the next couple of months.
Reports say that actor Derek Martin is currently in talks to come back to his role on the popular soap.
Derek played Charlie from 2000 to 2011 but he returned for two episodes in 2013.
Charlie is the head of the Slater family and his return is sure to affect his daughter Kat (Jessie Wallace) and other members of the Slater family including Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Big Mo (Laila Morse).

According to the Daily Star, Charlie said: “In December and January, I am going back to make a couple of episodes. I don’t know what the storyline is but I am booked.”
A source from the soap spoke to Digital Spy saying: “It hasn’t been confirmed if Derek will be returning, as it is still a little while off yet as we are still at the planning stages”.
We can’t wait to see what will happen if Charlie returns, he might have a few stern words for Alfie…
