Netflix’s Secret Obsession is getting some, ahem, rave reviews on Twitter

Jade Hayden

You’ll either love it… Or despise it with all your heart.

Yesterday, Secret Obsession dropped onto Netflix.

The horror slash thriller slash murder mystery promised to be a tale of intrigue, shock, and mind-bending confusion as it drew on all of our incessant needs for gruesome content that doesn’t really make all that much sense but we’ll still watch it.

So if the above is up your street at all, chances are you’ll be into this movie.

Hailed as the feature length answer to You, Secret Obsession follows Brenda Song as Jennifer, a newlywed who gets brutally attacked at a dark rest stop.

When she wakes up in the hospital, unsure of what happened or how she got there, her husband, ‘Russell’ (played by Mike Vogel), tells her that she was injured in an accident.

She has no memory of her life, including who her husband is, so she decides to take him at his word – stupidly.

What follows is much confusion, a lot of gore, and a plot that doesn’t really make sense but you just kind of have to go with it, tbh.

Essentially, it’s a Bad Movie, but Brenda Song is a good person so chances are a lot of people are going to end up watching it regardless.

Some of them hated it, some of them thought it was grand, and others couldn’t even begin to form an opinion on what they had just watched.

Here’s what they said.
