Lupita Nyong’o and Scarlett Johnasson are reportedly in talks to join a remake of much loved Disney classic The Jungle Book.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, both actresses are in talks to join Idris Elba, who has already been cast as Shere Khan, the film’s man villain.

Scarlett has been approached to voice Kaa, the python who eats other animals by hypnotising them but negotiations are in early stages at the moment.

It has been reported that Lupita is in the final stages of talks to lend her voice to the character Rakcha, a mother wolf who adopts Mowgli.

The Disney remake is set to be directed by Jon Favreau (The Break-Up) and the script has been written by scriptwriter and producer Justin Marks.
