Raking it in.

Harry Redknapp is officially the highest paid I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! contestant ever.

The football manager is going to be paid half a million pounds for his time in the jungle – the most a celebrity has ever been paid for taking part in the show.

The £500,000 isn’t just for the craic though – apparently Rednapp wouldn’t go on the show for any less due to his age.

Speaking on Loose Women, The Sun‘s Dan Wootton confirmed the considerable fee, saying: “Harry Redknapp, who‘s secured, by all accounts, a £500,000 deal, one of the biggest ever to go on the show.

“He’s doing it at 71 though so I guess he wanted the dosh.”

Fair.

By comparison, it’s expected that the other ‘Big Names’ in this year’s series are going to be taking home about £250,000, with the lesser known celebs receiving considerably less.

In 2016, Carol Vorderman was paid £200,000 for her time in the jungle. Scarlett Moffatt was given about £70,000 and Diversity’s Jordan Banjo was paid about £25,000.

The official I’m A Celeb was released last night, confirming that the football manager, Anne Hegarty, and John Barrowman are going to be heading into the jungle at the end of this week.

Emily Atack, Sair Khan, and Fleur East will also be making their Aussie debuts over the weekend.
