Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has teased the show’s return
Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino has teased the show’s return.
The beloved and heartwarming series hasn’t been on our screens since the revival aired on Netflix in 2016, but are new episodes in the works?
A return to Stars Hollow may be on the horizon after the creator confirmed another reboot isn’t off the table.
Amy-Sherman Palladino told Rolling Stone:
“The thing about families is they never work their s*** out. They are dysfunctional forever and because of that, it’s the best possible way to come up with stories because you will never solve your problems there.”
There is one storyline she would love to revisit. She explained that she wasn’t happy with how Lane’s storyline turned out.
“I really never liked the way Lane’s life shook out. I would have liked to have spent more time on her,” she said.
She continued, “I think it would be interesting to see a baby and a kid and what that next Gilmore Girl round would be.”
In 2021, she said “the stars just haven’t aligned yet” for more Gilmore Girls episodes, but who knows what could happen in the future.
We may head back to Stars Hollow after all.
