Has anyone else been pretty much empty since the last season of Peaky Blinders ended?
Nights in front of the TV just are not the same without the Shelby clan.
Well, if you have been waiting desperately for news of the next season – you’re in luck.
It looks like the show has already started filming for the next season. YAS!
A Cillian Murphy fan page on Instagram has suggested that they’ve just started filming Season 5.
The account, which has 255,000 followers (impressive), posted a picture of Cillian in full costume with the caption:
“PEAKY NEWS! S5 filming starts tomorrow, Sept 17. The series is expected to air in Spring 2019 on BBC1.”
Well, that’s sooner than we thought!
In Season 5 the show will move into the 1930s, and we have so many questions.
Is Alfie Solomons really dead? We hope not…
Will Tommy and the Shelby Company Limited go legit? (unlikely).
The shows creator, Steven Knight, has spoken about the show, and when he plans for it to end.
“My ambition is to make it a story of a family between two wars, so always I’ve wanted to end it with the first air raid siren in Birmingham in 1939. It’ll take three more series to reach that point.”
So, with that information, this season will probably be the beginning of the end for Peaky Blinders.
