Yes, he was alive, remember?
If you’ve been living under a rock for the past month (or haven’t been watching Emmerdale, whichever), you might not have been aware that Joe Tate rose from the dead and was draining a bank account in Monte Carlo.
Or, rather, he was never dead at all and had just fooled everybody into thinking he was while draining a bank account in Monte Carlo.
Whichever.
Despite Joe’s, eh, return though, viewers were left fairly saddened by last night’s episode when it appeared that Joe had said his final goodbyes.
Or they were delighted the saga was finally over, whatever.
Graham (who was originally supposed to have killed him, remember?) phoned Joe to tell him that this would be the last time that they spoke and that he should “have a nice life.”
Not exactly the most emotional of farewells but the fans were upset, so. Well, some of them were. Others were unequivocally delighted to see the back of him.
Does that mean we can all stop talking about Joe Tate now??? #Emmerdale

The news that Joe was alive was revealed last month when Kim Tate tried to figure out who had been withdrawing funds from one of her offshore accounts.
She hired a PI to get to the bottom of what has been happening, and was left stunned when she saw it was none other than a not-at-all-dead Joe who was the culprit.
Shocking news for all involved at the time, but now it seems as if the whole Joe Tate debacle might actually be dead this time.
Shame.
