The pair confirmed they will remain friends, but have decided to end their marriage.
They issued a joint statement on Instagram to confirm the heartbreaking news.
They said: "It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate."
The couple said that they will remain friends and plan to co-parent their children.
"We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children," they said.
Charley added: "For their sake, we would appreciate privacy at this time. C x."
Webb met Wolfenden when they were working on 'Emmerdale' together and started dating in 2007.
Matthew asked Charley to marry him on Christmas Day in 2009.
They didn't tie the knot until 2018 but welcomed three children together throughout their relationship.
They have three sons, Buster, Bowie, and Ace, and are planning on co-parenting their children.
News of their split comes after Matthew penned a moving anniversary post to Charley.
They marked their wedding anniversary in February and the actor couldn't help but gush about the actress.
Alongside an old photo of the pair, he said: "This photo was taken 15 years ago. We had just ‘got together’… now we’ve been married 4 years and have 3 amazing, beautiful (always annoying) boys running around the house and driving us mad!
"I knew as we had this photo taken that we’d be together forever. I’d found my soulmate. Love you, pal. Happy anniversary. X"
